About this transfer
Arriving is the part of a trip that most often goes wrong. A long queue at passport control, a hall full of men offering rides, and no way of knowing what the fare should be. This service takes that away. Airport rules do not allow meet and greet staff inside the arrivals terminal, so you clear passport control and customs, walk out through Gate 13, and find our representative at the Meet and Greet area just outside. There is no board with your name on it, for your own privacy. Look instead for the sign we send you before you fly, give the representative your name, and they will walk you to your driver.
We cover both airports. Istanbul Airport is on the European side of the city, Sabiha Gökçen is on the Asian side, and the two are a long way apart. Tell us which one you land at and where you are going, either direction.
The vehicles are new and clean, and the drivers work with us regularly rather than being whoever is free that day. The price is agreed before you travel: no meter, no haggling at the kerb.

Airport rules do not let meet and greet staff wait inside the terminal, so we meet you just outside it.
Clear passport control and customs, then walk out of the terminal.
Leave through Gate 13.
Once you are outside, look to your left. You will see a row of Meet and Greet representatives holding boards.
Find the board that reads SW 39, give your name to the person holding it, and they will walk you to your driver.
If nobody is at the board when you get there, give it a few minutes. They may be walking another guest to their car. If nobody comes, message us on WhatsApp, or ask any of the other representatives to point out the SW 39 representative.

The boards stand outside the West Entrance, on the pavement by column 9.
Clear passport control and customs, then follow the signs for international arrivals.
Walk towards the exit at column 9. The exchange office is on your left, McDonald's and Starbucks on your right.
Go out through the West Entrance, Batı Giriş on the Turkish signs.
The boards are on the pavement in front of you. Find the one that reads F84 and give your name to the person holding it.
If nobody is at the board when you get there, give it a few minutes. They may be walking another guest to their car. If nobody comes, message us on WhatsApp, or ask any of the other representatives to point out the F84 representative.

Before you travel
What happens on the day
Flight monitoring
We watch your flight using the details on your booking, so a delay or an early landing is already known to us. Pick-up is set for about an hour after you land, which is normally enough for immigration and baggage. If you get through sooner, we are ready for you.
If you need longer
If you think you will need more than an hour to reach the meeting point, send us a WhatsApp message on +90 534 200 55 65. If you would rather be collected at a different time altogether, tell us in advance and we will arrange it.
Getting to your car
Once you have met the representative your vehicle usually arrives within twenty to thirty minutes. The drivers wait in the airport car park until they are told you have landed.

Leaving for Istanbul Airport
We collect you from your hotel 4 hours before an international departure and 3 hours before a domestic one. That allows for Istanbul traffic, check in, security and passport control.
Leaving for Sabiha Gökçen
4.5 hours before an international departure and 3 hours before a domestic one. For international flights leaving between 16:00 and 19:00 we recommend 5 hours, because the traffic on the way to Sabiha Gökçen is heavier then.
If the day is unusual
Recommended pick up times may be adjusted when necessary for traffic, public holidays, major events or anything else that affects travel time. We will tell you when we confirm your booking.

Changing or cancelling
Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time and you are refunded in full. Inside 24 hours we cannot refund. Tell us as early as you can and we will move your date rather than lose you.
Changes to your journey
If your flight, hotel or passenger details change, contact us using the number on your confirmation.
We watch the flight number you give us when you book, so a delay or an early landing is already known to us and the pick up moves with it. The driver waits up to an hour after landing. If you need longer, or anything else changes, tell us on WhatsApp straight away.

Where exactly do we meet?
Just outside the terminal, at the Meet and Greet area. Airport rules keep our staff out of the arrivals hall. At Istanbul Airport you walk out through Gate 13 and look for the board reading SW 39. At Sabiha Gökçen you go out through the West Entrance by column 9 and look for the board reading F84. Give the representative your name and they will take you to the car.

Historical tour with a local guideOmer from My Local Guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the locations visited on the tour. He has his masters in the Ottoman Empire and is a wealth of knowledge. The pace of the tour was appropriate for the hot day. He took us to the old section of the Grand Bazaar which has makers rather than just sellers, which I found very interesting.
